Jakub Podlesak works as a software engineer at Oracle's Prague Engineering site. He came to Oracle as part of the SUN merger.
Jakub works there on project Jersey, a production quality reference implementation of JAX-RS API (RESTful web services in Java).
He regularly speaks at various international conferences (JavaOne, Jazoon, GeeCON, SUN/Oracle TechDays) and is also co-leading the Czech Java User Group.
Previously, he participated in development of Metro project, the GlassFish V2 web services stack, as a member of the WS-Policy team. Before that, he was part of the IBM WebSphere pre-sale team in IBM, Czech republic. Before IBM, Jakub worked for a small Czech computer company, ITS, as an application developer. Jakub holds master degree from the Czech Technical University in Prague.
